The Breakfast Martini might do the trick.
This drink is #vegan and made with #aquafaba (fancy word for canned chickpea water), but you can also make it with egg white from a very fresh preferably #organic egg, or just leave it out. I actually prefer using aquafaba because it more consistently froths up, and I don’t have to feel guilty about throwing away a yolk. It may smells like beans at first, but I promise it goes away once you add all the ingredients, and it definitely doesn’t taste like beans, but just gives a smooth finish to the drink.
Breakfast Martini:
1 teaspoon of jam, I used blueberry preserve from my fave #Bonnemaman
10 ml of fresh lemon juice
20 ml Grand Marnier
40 ml Gin (you can swap out with vodka if you prefer, but it will change the flavor profile)
30 ml Aquafaba, or egg white, optional
Orange peel for garnish
To build:
Put all the ingredients in a shaker without ice. Give it a vigorous shake for about 15 seconds. This is called a dry shake. The shaker may leak slightly, so try to hold the shaker towards the middle. The mixture should look a bit frothy. Add 4-5 cubes of ice to the shaker then shake again. Hold a strainer over your glass then slowly pour your drink into your chosen glass. After a few seconds you should see a lovely silky foam rise to the top. Optional, but take a peel from an orange. Cutting just over the white pith, bend the peel over the drink to express the essential oils in the fruit, place the garnish on the side of the glass.
Enjoy. Tag me if you give it a try.
